Quick Create Sched Hypertables

If you need to create a Hypertable to just mirror a table in the data source, you can quickly create a scheduled Hypertable.

  1. Click on "Data Browser" on the home page
  2. Choose a table from a data source in the browser tree
  3. On the bottom pane, select the type of Hypertable (live or scheduled) and click on the "Create" button
  4. A "New Hypertable" window will open with most of the required information already filled up.
    1. Rename the short name for the Hypertable to something more manageable
    2. Set the cron timing (refer to setting-up-scheduled-hypertables)
    3. Select the update mode (refer to setting-up-scheduled-hypertables)
    4. Do a dry run and save the Hypertable
  5. As mentioned in the regular scheduled Hypertable creation documentation, the new Hypertable created will be in deactivated mode. Refer to the documentation to make it active or take manual snapshots.
